In preparing for the 2014-2015 homeschooling year. I wanted a way to stay organized, plan, and keep track of everything.  I ordered two books for homeschool planning and record keeping. This post contains affiliate links, click here to view disclosure policy.

The first book is the Teacher Record Book, it will be used for record keeping. It is the standard, nothing fancy book for keep track of attendance and grades.  I wanted to be able to log each day of attendance at school.

The second book is The Well Planned Day by Rebecca Scarlata Keliher, it will be used for planning and a bit of record keeping.  This is a family homeschool planner!!! I came across this planner on the Home Educating Family Association (HEDUA) website. Each month there is an encouraging article.  July is the first month of the planner, the article for inspiration and encouragement is Organize It!

At the end of the planner, you will also find report cards to give out to your student. There are enough cards for four students. The family part of this planner there are pages to write down finances, household duties, weekly dinner menu, shopping list which you can tear out, etc.  This planner also does have a weekly catechism in the margin, along with quotes from the bible.  The homeschool part of the planner, you are able to write out semester goals, list of books to read for the month, and write out assignments for each week.

I’ll see how well the record book and planner work, as June 30th we will be starting our 2014-2015 homeschooling year.
