The Artist Spotlight today is a Scandinavian Rock Band, called Scandic Tribe. The duo hails from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band is a duo, consisting of Thomas Økland and Morten G.P. They have recently released their debut album Light at the End. Sit back and follow the adventure that Light at the End will take you on.

Scandic Tribe

This is a lovely album. The introduction draws you in with the guitar, it has a suspenseful feel to it. Scandic Tribe gives an introduction that makes you think. The intro is inspirational.

The duo wanted to create musical art. The band explains: “We have had a vision of making an album that can move boundaries in the music world, currently dominated by music without a real story or message. In this album, we wanted to give the listener a break from the daily chores. Take the listener on a true musical adventure. Through a world of light and darkness, where the music, lyrics, and artwork harmonize in a beautiful tale.”

That musical art can be heard in each song of the album. The album is unique and creative. Light at the End is musical art and a great album that even a non-rock listener would truly enjoy. A couple of my favorites from the album are: Life is Good and Angel.

Life is Good, has great lyrics that give inspiration, tells a story. You can really hear in this track that it’s not just music Scandic Tribe is creating, but art. Rock art. Angel, is one for the guitar lover. It’s all guitar, no vocals. Sometimes no vocals on a song can be magical. You can close your eyes and just listen. It can take you to another place.
