In the past, holiday time meant going to somewhere warm, like Hawaii. But this time around, the adventure took us to Fort Walton Beach for a few days. It was my first time visiting the white sands of the panhandle of Florida. It was nice to see tropical blue water and beautiful sand and not have to fly six plus hours to do so.

But this time around, the adventure took us to Fort Walton Beach for a few days. It was my first time visiting the white sands of the panhandle of Florida. For this adventure, we stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort. It was a nice hotel! There was an indoor heated pool, outdoor pool (somewhat heated) with a lazy river, and a hot tub. Of course you are only steps from the beach.

So there was a restaurant near the hotel called The Crab Trap. OMG, the crab claws were amazing. Living in middle America, it’s hard to get good seafood. Finding crab claws, there is ONE restaurant that has them. So, it was only right we ate at this restaurant a couple times, plus Charmingly CJ (my daughter) LOVES, loves crab claws.

Another place a walk away from the hotel was Rockin’ Taco Grill & Tequila Bar. Food and service was great.

Overall, this is a great location, with restaurants and activities within walking distance. The emerald green water, amazing!!
