Brian Hutson debut album Habit released March 18th and today on the blog I’m shining the Artist Spotlight on it. It follows the critical acclaim of his EP Midnight Sessions and enormous success of his single “Habit” released in the fall of 2018. It peaked at 68 on the Billboard Mediabase Top 40 Pop chart and continues to chart within the top 100 for over 16 weeks.

Brian Hutson debut album Habit released March 18th. Habit memorializes the last two years of his life, starting with the fallout from a major breakup, and chronicles the journey as he reflects, falls into temptations, and pulls the pieces all back together, ultimately coming out the other side a better, stronger, and more confident version of himself.

Brian Hutson pulled from personal experiences – love, lust, heartbreak, and triumph. Habit memorializes the last two years of his life, starting with the fallout from a major breakup, and chronicles the journey as he reflects, falls into temptations, and pulls the pieces all back together, ultimately coming out the other side a better, stronger, and more confident version of himself.

The album Habit starts off with the track “Finding My Feet”. It’s a song of finding yourself after heartbreak. The album continues with amazing songs like “I Swear Someday and “Love Me Anymore”. Brian Hutson’s vocals on these songs are outstanding.

When “Habit” starts playing you can hear right away why this song climbed into the Top 100 on the Billardboard Mediabase Pop Chart. It’s a great dance song. The hits on this album just continue as you listen to each song. “Dream” with its mellow tempo, but just enough kick to it that you want to dance around the room, I couldn’t help but dance in my desk chair as I listen to the song and did some work.

“Anything Can Happen” starts off beautifully. Vocals and lyrics are amazing. It has a slower, soothing tempo. It adds the balance to the album, giving and showing the Brian Hutson music style. He’s not putting himself into one little box and this song displays his vocal talent well. The beat starts and I knew “Thought You Should Know” would be a jammin’ song. “This Is It” follows and it does not disappoint. It makes you just want to kick back and relax. Its enjoyable music that just gives you feel good feelings.

Habit also includes two club remixes of the songs “Thought You Should Know”  and “Habit”. Both add a vibrant dance club vibe to the songs. They are not only great dancing songs but also great songs to work out to. That’s what’s this Habit brings, good music to listen to, relax to, dance to, and enjoy while on a road trip or working out.

My favorite song on the album is “Anything Can Happen”. Brian’s intention in creating the album was to maintain musical cohesion while also allowing for numerous style influences, fusing together Top 40 pop, dance, and a little bit of rock and country along the way. Each song is amazingly done on this album. You’ll want to, no you need to listen to Habit and add to your playlist. You can listen to the hit single “Habit” below.
