Learn everything about natural ways to reduce stress and boost fertility!

As women, we grow up with the pressure to get married and have kids! Since we are old enough to play make-believe, adults around us start asking us how many kids we would like to have. And they are buying us baby dolls, toy bottles, clothes, and everything else to prepare us for what they perceive as “the most fulfilling role” a woman has in society.  It is something that has been done to us. And it is something that we do to our kids, too.  The difference may be in the fact that we indeed want our daughter to not feel pressured to become a mother, but rather make as much as possible free choice.

There are plenty of reasons why people opt for having kids. They want to have someone to take care of them when they are old, for example. Many of us see them as cute and feel that we are getting older at a slower pace when we are surrounded by kids, etc. But there is something else, which can be difficult to talk about. One of the reasons why we push ourselves to have kids lies in the fact that we are aware that some women can’t get pregnant even if they want to. We see it as kind of a privilege, don’t we?  So even though we are burdened with a tremendous amount of pressure, we feel in a way obligated to get pregnant!

As we mentioned, although it is seen as something “natural,” the reality is that not all women are equipped with the ability to produce a baby. Various factors can prevent a healthy pregnancy, such as premature menopause, hormonal problems, scaring of the tissue, endometriosis, etc. Apart from those, the problem might be caused by environmental factors, physical activity, diet, and our habits, to name a few other things. Above all, we all know how fertility changes with age. It is unfortunate and disappointing to learn that you can’t get pregnant, especially if you want a baby!

Infertility Treatment

After receiving such news, women usually start to look for the best treatment in an attempt to figure out how to boost fertility in women. As you probably know, there are various options such as artificial insemination (AI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), natural cycle IVF, etc.

Everyone knows how hard it is to cope with problems to conceive. Although the treatment can be super helpful, there is a high chance it will bring elevated stress and anxiety. Many factors contribute to this situation. Some are related to hormones, while others have more to do with hopes and fears.

Even though it is logical that stress and infertility go hand in hand, the fact is that stress makes things even more challenging. Fortunately, though, there are things you can do to reduce stress and boost fertility. We know that swimming helps, for example. If you opt to go to the pool to reduce stress, you might be curious to know about the best tampons to use for swimming. However, among many options, mind-body therapies start to get more popular than ever. It is not to say that this type of work will solve the problem. However, as you will see, there are plenty of benefits of mind-body therapies, and they certainly make things easier.

What Are Mind-Body Therapies?

Mind-body therapies are undeniably among the best natural ways to boost fertility hormones. But do you know what are mind-body therapies? These are healing practices based on the idea that the mind is an essential factor in health and illness. Although this concept dates from ancient times, it is only recently starting to be accepted in the Western world.  The idea is that the body and the mind are connected. Hence, all of our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and attitudes can influence our biological functioning in both positive and negative ways. Same way, what we do with our body (food we eat, exercise, etc.) can affect our mind.  Common practices classified as mind-body therapies are yoga, meditation, guided imagery, hypnosis, etc.  Are you wondering why practicing mind-body therapies is important?! There are plenty of positive effects of mind-body therapies on our overall health, including fertility issues. Now we will take a look at some of the mind-body therapies. Keep in mind that there are the best ways to boost fertility at home.

Mindfulness Meditation

Meditation is a simple practice, and it is available to everyone.  It can reduce stress and increase inner calmness. It can also promote happiness.  When you want to boost fertility, the best you can do is to practice mindfulness meditation.  Keep in mind that this is not about letting your thoughts wander off. It isn’t about emptying your mind either. It is about paying attention to ‘here and now’ – your thoughts, feeling, and sensations, whatever they may be.

Guided Imagery

Guided imagery is a type of guided meditation or relaxation. Some people call it a visualization exercise.  It is a gentle, proactive technique that focuses on imagination in positive ways. However, although it is called imagery, visualization, etc., this technique involves all senses, not just the visual. It is experienced throughout the body, not just mentally.  Interestingly it catalyzes a deeply altered state, so people call reasonably call it self-hypnosis.  It is a phenomenal boost fertility exercise.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

It is a common type of talk therapy where you work on your therapist to learn how to identify and change destructive thought patterns. It focuses on changing the negative thoughts that can be the reason for emotional difficulties, depression, and anxiety. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy involves various techniques such as dialectical behavioral therapy, multimodal therapy, etc.

Conclusion
