This past Sunday, toddler girl wanted to go to the aquarium. We drove to the Enoshima Aquarium, located near Enoshima Island. It is a very easy drive if you are coming from Zushi. You can find directions by train or car on the aquariums website.
The drive along the coastline was beautiful. We are able to see the beautiful snow capped Mt. Fuji. People were out jogging, walking, playing on the beach, and catching some waves. Spring is finally here, now just waiting on the cherry blossoms to start to bloom.
Everyone had the same idea we did and to come to the aquarium. The line at the entrance was not long, but it took about 10 minutes to buy a ticket. Once inside toddler girl took her camera and was snapping pictures. Adult tickets were 2,000 yen and toddler girl’s ticket was 600 yen.
There are 11 permanent exhibits in the aquarium. They are: Sagami Bay Zone, Deep Sea Part I, Jellyfish Fantasy Hall, Jellyfish Science, Cold and Warm Seas Zones, Research by His Majesty Akihito, Penguin and Seal Zone, Deep Sea Part II, Beach Experience Hall, Dolphin Show Stadium, and Touch Pools.
We did not do the dolphin show, since we were starting to get hungry. We had lunch across the street at Red Lobster, before heading back home. Here are a few photos from our adventure at the aquarium.
