Yesterday, the weather was prefect! The sun was shining and
the temperature was about 68 degrees.
Toddler girl and I headed out on the train to Ueno Park area to check
out the Big Dinosaurs: Wonders of the Gobi Desert at National Museum of Nature
and Science in Tokyo.  The train ride was
a little over an hour from our home and only had two transfers.  I’ll do a post on the National Museum of
Nature and Science.

Once we arrive at the museum we went in the entrance
advertising the Big Dinosaurs, not the main entrance.  Using that entrance you are able to view the
exhibit and then go in the main part of the museum. It was a great exhibit,
with many fossils for viewing.  It was
both our first times to a dinosaur exhibit and toddler girl enjoyed! It took us
about half hour to go through the whole exhibit.  We did not use the headset and it was not
very crowded, since it was a weekday. The headsets are available to rent for a small
fee to help explain about each exhibit on display.  It is a great exhibit for kids and kids at
heart. A wonderful field trip for those who home school.

Make sure to check it out before the exhibit ends. The Big
Dinosaurs: Wonders of the Gobi Desert is currently going on until February 23,
2014.  Cost is 600 Yen – 1500Yen.  Hours: Tuesday – Thursday & Saturday –
Sunday 9am – 5pm, Friday 9am – 8pm.

Nearest station: Ueno – use Park Exit.
