Sanrio Puroland

Sanrio Puroland

Yesterday toddler girl and I went to Sanrio Puroland a.k.a. Hello Kitty theme park.  It was about a two hour ride there via bus from where we live to Hello Kitty Sanrio Puroland. The website has access directions via train.

So, about our tour…  It was pretty fun; toddler girl has been talking about it since we got home last night.  She was very excited to share are adventure with daddy.  Once we arrive at Hello Kitty, the tour guide went to get our tickets for us.  We did the passport, which is good for entrance and admission to the attractions.  Advance purchase for an adult is 4,000 yen (same day 4,400 yen) and toddler girl was free.  Age four and older do have to pay – junior (4-11 years) is 3,300 same day purchase and youth (12-17 years) is 4,000 yen same day purchase. Once inside, toddler girl was excited as you are greeted with a beautiful display of Hello Kitty.

The main entrance is on the 3rd floor of the building and has Festival Plaza; a souvenir shop.  The first thing we did was head downstairs to the 1st floor to check things out.  On this level, there is the Wisdom Tree Stage in the center, Sanrio Character boat ride, Marchen Theater, Entertainment Hall, Fairyland Theater, Discovery Theater, Mymeroad Drive, and other little shops, games, tucked in different spots throughout.  We rode on both the boat ride and Mymeroad Drive, which we every fun.  The wait time was about 30 minutes for both. But it was fun and worth the wait.  We also watched a 40 minute play at the Marchen Theater and 2 plays at the Wisdom Tree Stage.  After the first floor we headed to the 4th floor to get lunch.  There is the Food Machine Restaurant and Restaurant Yakata.  We ate at the Food Machine Restaurant, it was ok not a large variety.  Lunch was about 2,000 yen for both of us.  Toddler girl picked a Hello Kitty bento, which you get to keep the bento box to take home.  After lunch we headed to the 2nd floor to explore Sanriotown.  Here we did the Kiki & Lala Twinklingtour, which was pretty cute!  It’s a story about twin stars.  You can also find on the 2nd floor Lady Kitty House, Strawberry Hall, and a few games. We did check out Strawberry Hall, which are a museum of Hello Kitty and the other Sanrio characters.

All in all it was fun day and spent 5.5 hours there.  Here are some more photos of our adventure.
