J. Cash the King, recently dropped 4th Quarter,  a 5 track EP. Overall, it's a dope a EP. J. Cash the King, is not a cookie cutter of what you hear today with many hip hop artist. No, mumble rap with him, he's making sure you hear and understand the bars that he's spitting.

The intro “4th Quarter” is the primer to get you ready for what this EP is about to bring – fire, realness, and each track has a message within. The second track is “To Myself”, this is my favorite on 4th Quarter. The message I get from this song is to make sure you take care of yourself. It’s ok to get help. Especially, when it comes to mental health concerns.

“Winning Team” follows with more fire beat and lyrics that continue to deliver. “Move like Floyd, every single time.” are the lyrics you will hear on this track. Bars that deliver a punch. Each song on 4th Quarter is different. They all have a different story to tell, which is good. It’s not a one theme EP. “Flooded” keeps the flow going, with lyrics about getting a bag.

The bonus track, “Go Out” slows the tempo down a bit. It feels like the sequel to “To Myself”. It’s the great choice for ending out the EP. “Go Out” can give a vibe, one that’s mellow. I’ve hit repeat on, this track as I was working to listen to it a few times.

Overall, it’s a dope EP. J. Cash the King, is not a cookie cutter of what you hear today with many hip hop artist. No, mumble rap with him, he’s making sure you hear and understand the bars that he’s spitting. One that I recommend you check out, add to your playlist.
