I’m listening to Major Moment’s One Small StEP, and the first song gives me that great 90’s music vibe I like. I knew this would be listening to some really great music.

The intro sets the stage for this EP. It puts you in suspense, like a movie, making you wonder what is next to come. The intro carries on into the first song “Before It’s Too Late”. Soon as it came on, my daughter started dancing to the music.

The next song on the EP is “Mistakes” followed by “What It’s Like”. “Mistakes” had a slower tempo, mellow vibe. But “What It’s Like” brings back that swaying in your chair tempo. Both songs are good and sound completely different from each other. You get the uniqueness of Major Moment in each song.

“How Would You Know” and “The Release” are the two songs that close out the EP. With “The Release” being my favorite of all the songs on One Small StEP. It’s an instrumental song and a great select for the last song. The order of the songs on One Small StEP flow really well. Make sure to check out the video below to “How Would You Know”.

About Major Moment

When you come across a band as multi-cultural, passionate, and talented as Boston’s Major Moment, you have to pay attention. Combining captivating original sounds of alternative rock with their international roots, Major Moment knows how to create new worlds within their music. Inspired by acts like Linkin Park, Nine Inch Nails, 30 Seconds To Mars and more, the band is now on a mission to inspire others, encourage them to follow their dreams, and learn to appreciate life.

With each member developing a passion for music at a young age, it is no surprise that the Boston act came together, even when originally on different parts of the globe. Andrey Borzykin (Vocals/Rhythm Guitar) left Russia, while Gabriel De Mattia De Oliveira (Lead Guitar) ventured from Brazil to eventually meet with Alexandra “Sasha” Razumova (Vocals) and Adam Soucy (Drums) in the United States. They are a band of different cultures, nationalities, and experiences, which all join to create the uniqueness that is Major Moment.

On September 7th, Major Moment brings you “one small stEP, a record of various strong topics, including relationship, perspective, and loss. With acclaimed producer Kevin Billingslea and six-time Grammy Winner Adam Ayan on board, the band considers the record to be their greatest accomplishment yet.

“Kevin helped us build on and fine tune our material. Every step of the way with him felt like a milestone; from listening to our early demos, to sketching out the first drafts in pre-production, to hearing that first mix after principle tracking,” says Andrey, “It’s amazing to think about how far we’ve come in such a short time.”

What makes the record even more special, is its dedication to Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, one of the band’s biggest inspirations. “one small stEP features a #makechesterproud tagline, and it shows that Major Moment is the genuine and caring group of people that they hope to be remembered as.
