With many states having stay at home orders in place, now is a great time to really give our homes a deep cleaning. I always use Clorox wipes on a daily for wiping down counters, door handles, light switches, etc, even before the coronavirus (COVID-19). So my daily routine hasn’t changed much since we work from home and I homeschool my daughter. The closure of schools has not affected us. Hopefully your daily routine has only had a slight hiccup.

Kitchen – Don’t forget to clean these

  • Get your microwave clean by put placing 1 cup of water and 2 teaspoons of baking soda in a 4-cup microwave safe container. Microwave for 4-5 minutes, then wipe the inside of the microwave with a paper towel or kitchen sponge.
  • Does your cutting board have a odor? Get food smells out by cutting a lemon in half and rubbing the cut side over the entire surface of the cutting board.
  • How to remove soap film and deodorize your dishwasher? By putting a cup filled with white vinegar on the top rack and run the dishwasher with nothing else inside.
  • Does your containers have tomato sauces stains? Place them in a sunny spot (outdoors or indoors) for a dew hours and let the sun naturally bleach out the stains.
  • Get your countertops shining! Pour a little club soda onto the countertop and polish with a soft cloth. Club soda is also good for removing stains from fabrics.
  • Does your dishwasher drain through your garbage disposal? Run the disposal as the hot soapy water is draining to give it a good cleaning.
  • Don’t forget to clean out the refrigerator, check for leftovers that have been pushed to the back. Also check everything to make sure nothing is expired. Also check your freezer for items that may have reached it’s lifespan for the freezer. Wipe down the inside with a sponge and warm soapy water. Wipe down the outside of your fridge as well – I use a Lysol or Clorox wipe.
  • Wipe down the cabinets and panty door as well.

Bathroom – Get the shower spic and span

When cleaning the bathroom, it’s always a good idea to run the open a window and run the bathroom vent to avoid inhaling the fumes from the cleaning products in a small space.

  • Get a sparkling white sink. Line the sink with paper towels saturated with bleach. Wait 30 minutes, remove paper towels and rise.
  • Say goodbye to mildew. Take cotton balls and dip them in bleach. Then place them in each spot where there is stubborn mildew and let sit while you clean the other areas of the bathroom. Simply toss the cotton balls and rinse the area, mildew should be gone.
  • How to get the plastic shower curtain clean? Spray it with laundry pre-wash spray along the top of the curtain, letting it run down the curtain. Wait a few minutes and then rinse clean.
  • Remove soap film from the shower door. Wet a sponge with white vinegar and use it to clean the glass shower door. buy lexapro online https://blackmenheal.org/wp-content/languages/new/noprescription/lexapro-no-prescription.html no prescription
  • Remove hairspray from countertops and mirrors using a small amount of rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth.
  • Easily clean tubs and showers with a couple spoons of liquid soap and essential oils, mixed with baking soda and water. The ingredients form a paste with which you will rub the tub and shower with.

Clean Your Blinds – Two easy ways

  • Combing a mixture of white vinegar and water (one part each) is a easy way to get your blinds clean. Grab an old sock or small towel, soak it in the misture then wipe blinds clean.
  • Don’t want to use vingar? Use warm soapy water instead. Using a small towel or slip a old pair of socks on your hands, dip your hand into the water, then rub back and forth over the blinds to get them clean.

Tips and Hacks for the Rest of the House

  • Refresh your carpets. Sprinkle baking soda on the carpet, then vacuum.
  • Shine glass tabletops. Rub lemon juice on the glass tabletops, dry with a paper towel, then polish with a newspaper to get  a bright shine.
  • Change the air conditioning filter. If you haven’t recently changed the filter in your AC unit now is a great time. With winter gone and spring here (help pollen) it’s a good idea to start the new season with a clean filter. I suggest a hypoallergenic filter. buy paxil online https://blackmenheal.org/wp-content/languages/new/noprescription/paxil-no-prescription.html no prescription

  • Get your lampshades clean by using a lint roller. Just rolll over the fabric and watch as the dirt and dust (pet hair too) sticks to the lint roller.
  • Steam clean your carpet. The steam can help kill bacteria and germs while removing dirt at the same time. You can rent a machine or hire a professional carpet cleaner. buy lipitor online https://blackmenheal.org/wp-content/languages/new/noprescription/lipitor-no-prescription.html no prescription
