I am a military spouse. Go NAVY!! I do not blog much on military life or being a military spouse. But today’s photo is a small glimpse into my world as a military spouse. Today was Change of Command for the Command B is at. I am also the Command’s Navy Family Ombudsman. Today, after a week of beautiful weather it was raining and cold. Do you know where the ceremony was held? You guessed it, the ceremony was outside on the pier next to a ship. But with a smile the guest sat with their umbrella’s open and made it through the ceremony. It was a nice ceremony and I did not get as wet as some, but I was cold!
My Day 3 photo is from the reception, the cake. I actually took the picture after the cake had been cut down the middle. I’ve also include an extra picture from the reception.

Beautiful!! Tell your honey thank you from all of us who praise them for what they are doing!! God bless you as the family, as well!! Beautiful pix!
Thank you Jamie! I will tell him.
Wow gorgeous. That must have taken a lot of work.
I was not able to find out who made this wonderful cake. But yes, it must have taken a lot of work to get it made.
I have a son in the Navy stationed in Virginia. Cool looking cake!
Tara, Thank your son for his service for us. We loved Virginia when we stationed there 2 duties stations ago.
It never fails it seems to rain when we have some outdoor event like this planned. Glad you were still able to enjoy the ceremony and I hope the cake tasted good!
Thank you for your husband’s service, and YOUR service, I’m sure it is a team effort. What a beautiful cake!
