Today I’m sharing with you a jammin’ EP by Chris Sullivan title Dog Days. If you have read a few of my Artist Spotlight posts, I’m a fan of 90’s music and when I get that 90’s vibe from the first song I listen to from an artist’s album, I know I am bound to like it. Soon as I heard “By the Light of the Radio”, I knew this was going to be a really good EP.

I’m sharing with you a jammin’ EP by Chris Sullivan title Dog Days. If you have read a few of my Artist Spotlight posts, I’m a fan of 90’s music and when I get that 90’s vibe from the first song I listen to from an artist’s album, I know I am bound to like it.

It’s the first track on the 5 song EP. It sets the tone for the album. A good tone! You can watch the video for “By the Light of the Radio” below. The next song on Dog Days is “Black Clouds”, don’t let the title fool you, it’s not a sad, deary song. It has a great tempo. “The City that Never Sleeps” follows. When the song first starts playing, I’m wasn’t sure if I would like it, but it’s an okay song. It’s good, but not my favorite.

“Run this Race” is another song that makes you want to dance. Dog Day does not disappoint and when you get to this song and realize it’s the second to last song, you hit repeat so that you can list to all the songs on the EP again. “Ride” a different feel than the previous songs on this EP, but it’s the last song and it was a good choice for the closing song. It has a more mellow tempo, great for relaxing. I played this song a couple times on repeat while working.

Overall, all the songs on Dog Days do have a similar beat with the drums and guitar. But each song is still unique and not like the next.  It’s an EP that you will want to add to your playlist.
