Spring has sprung! The pollen and allergens have been in the air. Living in the Mid-South, the pollen seems to be 100 times worse than other places I have lived in the past. I’m glad that even with the pollen causing stuffing noses and itchy eyes.
As always, I turn first to my essential oils and for April, it was Breathe. Breathe helps to minimize the effects of seasonal threats while also providing calming properties.
Available as an essential oil, respiratory drops, and as Touch. Touch is Breathe in a base of Fractionated Coconut Oil, that you can roll it on your skin.
This has been the best for all the pollen that has been in the air. I like to turn on my diffuser with Breathe in the morning and before bed. Before bed, I like to let the diffuser run for at least 30 minutes, with the door close to the bedroom before going to sleep. It helps with promoting clear airway and also restful sleep, at least for me it does. Sometimes, I’ll even add a drop of eucalyptus to the diffuser as well.
Benefits of Breathe Essential Oil
- Minimizes the effects of seasonal threats
- Promotes a feeling of clear airways and easy breathing
- Provides a cooling, invigorating vapor
I use Breathe in my diffuser. It is my all-time favorite way to use my essential oils. Here’s the link to my favorite; the Petal Diffuser. I’ll add about four drops to my diffuser. Of course, you can use a few drops more if you like.
Other uses include:
- Apply directly to the chest when seasonal threats are high
- Combine with Epsom salts in a warm bath for a soothing sensation
- Add 3 drops to shower floor for an aroma that promotes vitality (but always be mindful of the oils on the shower floor to not slip and fall)
- Diffuse for a calming effect that promotes a restful sleep
- Use topically before outdoor activity to protect against the effects of seasonal threats

I’m so glad I saw this, I’ve really have been wanting to try these out! I have such bad allergies and I’ve heard great things!!!
I love the essential oils! They have so many uses.
I’ve been debating getting into oils because I’ve been seeing them EVERYWHERE lately!!! Thoughts on doterra versus Young Living??
I love dōTERRA. I haven’t tried Young Living, but have read good reviews about them. Of course, you’ll see tons of reviews on why one is better than the other. I suggest trying an oil or two from both brands and see which one you like the best.
