Since becoming a dōTERRA Wellness Advocate in December, I have been trying out the oils and LOVIN’ them! Each month, I’ll share my favorite essential oils that I’ve been using.
For December and January, my favorites were peppermint and wild orange. Peppermint was a great oil to have in my diffuser for the holiday’s. It really gave that added holiday touch to my home.
The diffuser I use is the Petal Diffuser, it came in the AromaTouch® Diffused Kit.
Peppermint is a great oil. Not just because it smells so lovely. Peppermint essential oil has many uses. A few benefits include:
- Promotes healthy respiratory function and clear breathing
- Helps reduce bloating, gas, and occasional indigestion
- Can be applied topically to relieve feelings of tension
- Diffuse when feeling fatigues or low on energy.
My favorite is to diffuse the oil.
Because I love a citrus scent, I also use the Wild Orange a lot throughout January. Benefits of using Wild Orange include:
- Uplifting to the mind and body
- Good cleanser and purifying agent
- Add a drop to your water every day for a burst of flavor
- Diffuse to uplift mood and energy levels
- Diffuse to freshen the air
You can even add Peppermint and Wild Orange to some of your favorite recipes. A 2-4 drops to your brownie recipe can give an added flavor boost.
