Jeans and pants
Jeans are an inevitable part of everyone’s wardrobe, and they should be on your list. Whether it is a casual day walk or lunch, a night out, or a fancy dinner, you can dress up or down your favorite pair of jeans. Dark, high waisted is a safe choice since they will go with any color, and top. As for pants, you can bring loose, airy pants of light material that can serve as a comfortable pair of pants for staying in the hotel or going to the grocery store, but you can still wear them even for a midnight walk, for example.
Swimwear
If you are not going to a tropical place, with hot weather, chances are your hotel will at least have a pool. This is why you should always bring a bathing suit, and let’s face it, that won’t be a problem because they take up so little space. A safe choice that flatters all body types is a trendy high waisted bikini that is a timeless classic. Go with a colorful design, especially if you are traveling somewhere this fall. Or go for a classic monochrome design that you can mix and match with many different tops.
Jackets
For all the chilly days and nights, a jacket is a must. Pick the ones that you can wear with both dresses and pants and jeans. A denim jacket is a versatile piece that will give you the boho vibe, but it is better for mildly cold weather. A black leather jacket is another good option since it is another timeless classic that will always be trendy. You can style it with the jeans we mentioned, floral dresses, heels, and sneakers.
Comfortable shoes
A comfortable pair of shoes is a must for any trip since chances are you are going to spend a lot of time walking around and exploring. You should make sure your sneakers are comfortable, and appropriate for any weather, especially if you are traveling now when it often rains. Leather sneakers will have you covered if you want to carry just one pair of shoes. They are so versatile when it comes to matching them to your outfits, and they will keep you warm and dry if it happens to be rainy and cold.
Another option could be ankle boots, which are easy to style and wear but have a limited number of outfits you can wear them with. Since shoes are a bit chunky, and if you carry these two items, you can create your outfits in advance and know exactly what to wear. But regardless of what you choose, you will be happy to hear that both sneakers and ankle boots go great with the jeans, both of the jackets we mentioned, and dresses, as well.
Tops, shirts, and blouses
Wherever you travel, one rule to remember is to bring extra shirts and tops. They will get dirty easily, and you will want to change them, but that won’t be a problem since they are not complicated to pack. One useful tip is to choose pieces that are made from wrinkle-free fabric, because you can just put them on, without having to worry if they’re ironed. Bring basic pieces like classic white, black or gray shirts or blouses, and be more imaginative with your t-shirts. The point is to be able to match the tops to different pants, jeans, and jackets, and still make them look great. And if you want a more modern look, you can decorate the shirts with a belt or a nice brooch, and create a more formal piece. Don’t forget to pack at least one warm sweater, for cozy nights out, or colder days that you will have to spend outside.
Sudden trips make us pack more stuff than we need. This is why you can refer to this list as the basic checklist you should go through since it has trendy, versatile, and comfortable items.
