Everybody loves getting a new car, whether it’s the new handling of it, the fact that it feels so perfect and brand new when you smell the leather, or it’s the fact that you can finally sit in a ride that’s yours.

However, it doesn’t mean that it’s up to your standards. The good news is that it doesn’t take much to refresh your car to make it as good as new. Even if you are buying a used vehicle, you should be able to give your car a little bit of a makeover, right? Let’s take a look at some of the best ways that you can jazz up your car.

  1. Add some family stickers. Have you ever seen those cars go past with the little car stickers on the back that depict the people in the family? Getting your very own stick figure car stickers is a great way to add some fun to your car. Stickers that are made specifically for cars Can come off relatively easily, so you don’t have to worry about leaving behind a residue. Adding some family stickers, even if your family consists of just you and your cat, is a great way to give your car a little bit of a new look
  2. Make sure it’s cleaned. If you’ve just bought a used car, take it to a professional and get it detailed. Before you tinker with anything inside and out of your car needs a proper cleaning. The more you use your car, the dirtier it gets, so it stands to reason that if you’re buying a used car, you want to make sure that it’s as clean as possible before you climb behind the wheel. Consider the car getting professionally detailed over a hand wash by yourself. It’s quite luxurious to have an extensive detail with an exterior Polish and wax as well.
  3. Give the paint a touch up. When was the last time you checked your car for scratches? Keeping the exterior of your car looking pristine? That actually takes quite a lot. Unless your car is living in a bubble, the paint is going to be chipped or scratched occasionally. The most expensive solution for this is to drop off your car to get it repainted, but you can get an automotive touch up paint kit that matches your car colour. You can then get rid of your chipping or small scratches and it doesn’t have to take very long.
  4. Give the engine a tune up. If your car has been feeling a bit slow or sluggish lately, your engine may need to have a refresh. As those miles build up, things like your air filter and your spark plugs and your fuel filter can wear out. This causes the engine to lose a little of its performance. The good news, though, is that there are cheap parts to replace and they can be restored so that your engine is as good as new.
