Today’s Artist Spotlight is hip-hop artist Lew Houston and his single “Safe”.
Listening to “Safe” and being a girl from the Dirty South (Louisiana) I hear Southen Rap beat throughout the song. It has an H-town all over it. His delivery of lyrics is crafted well – his pace at a good tempo that one can understand the words. He wants the listener to hear what he has to say.
The bars that he giving in this song if you really listen you can hear the message he is also delivering. He’s giving raw, in your face lyrics and also some substance. Of course, the beat and his lyrics combined make this a fire track.
Lew Houston is an artist you don’t want to pass over on. He should be on your radar and on your playlist. Don’t take my word for it, you can watch the video for “Safe” below.
