Hey, y’all!! It’s been a while since I’ve personally written a post, but I’m back with a catchup post! You will be seeing more articles written by me as well as articles written by contributing authors. If you’ve been a reader for a while, you may have noticed a few changes… the tagline has changed and the color scheme has changed too. It was time for some revamping of the blog.

Started a Craft Business
For the past year I’ve been crafting, but I really started to have a love for it and decided to start a craft business, C&J Creed Creations where I create jewelry, home decor, and gifts for all occasions. Many items are laser cut or engraved with my Glowforge.
I have done a few craft shows to help get the business name out and to give customers a chance to shop in person. The next person event will be in October for Patch at the Pond hosted by the Rotary Club of Youngsville.
Here’s a look at a few of the items that are currently available (as of June 21, 2022).
Thinking about buying a Glowforge?
If you’re ready to make to buy a Glowforge, I have some great news, by shopping with my link you can get $500 off the Glowforge Pro, $250 off the Glowforge Plus, or $125 off the Basic.
Here’s the link for you to cut and paste: https://glowforge.us/f/FOEJXYHJ
Community Involvement
I applied to the Leadership Youngsville Class and I am part of Class III. As part of Leadership, we learn about the history of our beautiful city of Youngsville as well as about team building, sports, tourism, public safety, public works, and local government. Overall being an ambassador to this wonderful city.
I’m also part of the Youngsville Chamber of Commerce, so I try to stay involved in grand openings, networking with other local business owners, etc.
Joined Rotary Club
In 2021, I joined my local Rotary Club. Since a teen, I’ve always volunteered and been involved in community service projects. Ever since moving back to Louisiana, I knew that I wanted to be involved in my community and find ways to give back. The Rotary Club of Youngsville is one way I’m able to do that. I’m currently the Membership Chair and will be the incoming secretary for the 2022-2023 Rotary year.
What is Rotary Club? It’s an international network of neighbors, leaders, friends, and problem-solvers taking action to make a change not just in our communities, but around the world.
What projects and events take place? Events our club put on are the Bingo & Brew and Patch at the Pond. Projects around the community include participating in City of Youngsville Clean-up Day, community park improvement projects, Christmas gifts to children at area schools, the food pantry, and a scholarship foundation.
