InCrest is a really good band. Think 90’s music, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Goo Dolls, and these guys fit in with the likes of these amazing bands. I listen to the songs on the album out of order. My first pick was “Neversleep” and it did not disappoint. I knew that I was going to like this album.
I decided to start from the first song on the album so that I could really get a feel for the music. The album kicks off with “No Second Chance”, you get the grunge-rock vibe from this song. That vibe is plaid flannel and Seattle music vibe of the 90’s. Which was great music! As the next song, “Nightcrawler” starts to play, I can help but want to tap my feet as I’m listening. I may or may not be dancing in my chair as I work. You can watch the video for this song below.
Everything is on point – vocal, the band playing their instruments. “Anemia” follows and just like the songs before it, another good song that takes you back to the rock, alternative, grunge-rock era that was amazing. InCrest is taking it back to basics and it’s working. They are not trying to overplay, oversing – they are just making music. Music that can be enjoyed.
As each song plays, it continues you showcase InCrest’s talents both as a band and individually. No one is overshadowing the other. My favorite songs from The Ladder The Climb The Fall are “Neversleep” and “Highway”.
