If you have read any of my blog post about how to make extra income as a blogger, you have seen in each one I have mentioned ShareASale. It is one that I use often and have made extra income with.  Let’s talk about how you can use ShareASale to make extra income.

Once you are signed up and approve you can now start to apply to work with merchants. Some merchants approve you soon as you apply and some take a few days to review and approve. What is great about ShareASale, there are so many merchants to choose from.

What is ShareASale? ShareASale connects merchants with bloggers to promote their products and send traffic to their sites. First, you have to sign up to be an affiliate. Sign up is free.  You can sign up at shareasale.com, it’s an easy process.

I know you want to know about the money making part.  You are paid by direct deposit, with a $50 minimum to withdraw your funds.  Once you have at $50 minimum, ShareASale will automatically deposit the funds.  Direct deposit will be initiated on the 20th of every month that you are eligible for payment. If the 20th falls on a bank holiday or weekend, the payment will be initiated on the first business day following the holiday.

The money I have made has been through commissions on sales, paid blog post, or blogger referral. Let’s start with the commission on sales and paid blog post, which goes hand-in-hand. I have done paid blog post about a product I like or use and made commission by someone purchasing the product.  That’s a double win in my book. You can also make a commission on sales, by having sidebar ads.  Someone likes an ad, they click, purchase, you get a commission.  For the paid blog post, the merchant will send an email about these and give you instructions on what to write about (sometimes they give you a sample post that you can tweak and use) and also how to submit your blog post link for review to get paid for it. The paid blog post can pay anywhere from $5-$50. However, not all emails you receive will be about paid post.  Many of the emails will be about upcoming sales, discount codes, or new products you can share with your readers.

Some merchants have two-tier links that you can share; these links are for bloggers to apply to join the merchant’s affiliate network.  If a blogger is approved, you can get anywhere from $5-$30 for the referral.

Here is a list of merchants I enjoy working with and in no particular order. These are affiliate links and I will earn if use the link.
